Ricky is the suave host of this talk-show style performance. With his charming assistant Destiny le Tan and a number of special guests he takes upper primary students on a journey through our drains to find out how human pollutants join the natural waterways as they flow through our environment.

When it becomes clear that not all of these waterways are flowing as they should Ricky calls on the assistance of student volunteers to re-enact the almost unconscious habits fowling our creeks and emptying our reservoirs and the change of habits needed to remedy the situation.

At the show’s close Ricky and Destiny pour themselves a glass of the water they have been adding pollutants to and raise a toast with the uneasy reminder: “If you don’t want to drink water like this in the future, then you'd better start looking after it now!” And then comes the collective groan of disbelief as the affable pair knock back the cocktail of car wash suds, sediment and litter… Yuck!

"The show was entertaining, educational, colourful and lively it completely immersed children in the theme (and adults!) making it a fun learning experience for all."
